30 Days of Prayer Challenge

Each year we like to put out a challenge to you (and us!) to spend a month in prayer for Paulite Jean and Haitian Ministries. Pastors cannot win the battle alone; they need committed intercessors to lift them up in fervent, specific prayer. Imagine how the power of God might be released in our churches if we were to pray faithfully for our pastors. There is no greater gift you can give your pastor and the spiritual leaders of your church than to pray for them. The 30 Day Challenge starts ion Saturday, September 1, 2024. A prayer prompt and scripture will be provided each day. Below is a PDF of the 30 Day Prayer Challenge along with printed prompts for each day if you prefer.

1. Pray that Paulite Jean will love God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength. Pray that God will work powerfully in his heart, and that he will follow biblical priorities (Deut. 6:5; Matt. 6:33).

2. Pray that Paulite Jean will cultivate strong character and uncompromising integrity. Pray that his testimony will be genuine, and that he will never do anything he would need to hide from others (Eph. 6:10-12; 1 Tim. 1:5; 3:7).

3. Pray for Paulite Jean and his personal walk with God—that his soul and spirit will be nourished and strengthened in his time with God, beyond sermon preparation. Pray that he will spend more time in God’s Word than in other reading (Mark 1:35;

2 Tim. 2:15-16).

4. Pray that Paulite Jean will counsel and teach with discernment through the wise use of Scripture and faith in God’s power to work. Pray that he will be protected from the effects of sinful or negative attitudes he encounters as he counsels (Mal. 2:7; John 17:15; James 1:5-6).

5. Ask God to protect Paulite Jean and Julie’s marriage and make it a strong model of Christ’s relationship with the Church. Pray that your pastor will tenderly cherish and lead his wife, and that she will respect and encourage him, submitting to his leadership (Eph. 5:23-33).

6. Pray that God will protect Julie and all pastors’ wives from bitterness when her husband is criticized. Pray that her intimacy with Jesus will be consistent, and that she will guard her mind and heart (Prov. 4:23; Heb. 12:15).

7. Pray for Paulite Jean’s children and grandchildren that the pressures of ministry will not discourage or embitter them. Pray that he will provide godly, scriptural leadership in the home, not based on fear of man (Eph. 6:4; Col. 3:20-21).

8. Ask God to protect Paulite Jean from evil plots of Satan. Pray that he will not be corrupted as he ministers in the world (Ps. 91:9-11; John 17:15; 2 Cor. 2:11).

9. Father, we thank You for the love Paulite Jean has for You, and for the Haitian people. We pray that his love for You and the work You’ve called them to do will increase. We pray that he will walk in integrity. Thank You that he has found favor and good understanding with You and with men. (Proverbs 3:4-5)

10. Father, we pray that You grant Paulite Jean the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the deep and intimate knowledge of You. That he will seek wisdom, and You would also give him understanding and discernment. (Ephesians 4:12)

11. Pray for godly friends to strengthen and encourage Paulite Jean and his family for ministry and to provide meaningful fellowship and times of rest (Phil. 2:19-25).

12. Pray that Paulite Jean will be humble and authentic, not given to pride or hypocrisy. Pray that he will have pure motives and give God glory for every victory (Micah 6:8; John 7:17-18; Gal. 6:14).

13. Pray that Paulite Jean will make wise lifestyle choices to protect his health, especially in the areas of exercising, eating, and resting. Pray for times of relaxation and renewal to balance the stress of ministry (Rom. 12:1; 1 Cor. 6:19-20; 9:27; James 3:1-2).

14. Pray that Paulite Jean will focus on God’s Word as he prepares his messages. Pray that he will seek to please God rather than men and pursue holiness rather than the praise of men (Acts 6:4; 2 Tim. 2:15; 4:1-2; Heb. 12:14).

15. Praise God for the leadership of pastors. Pray that they will make Godly decisions. Pray that they will lead with a shepherd’s heart, and that they will always speak the truth in love (1 Kings 3:9; Jer. 3:15; 1 Pet. 5:2)

16. Pray that Paulite Jean will be courageous and confident in proclaiming Christ from the pulpit. Ask God to help him preach with insight, transparency, and humility (Eph. 6:19; Col. 1:28; 4:3a).

17. Father, we ask You to heal any hurts Paulite Jean has suffered. Pray that he will serve the Lord with gladness and encourage the congregation to worship God with a joyful, surrendered spirit (Is. 61:3)

18. Pray that Paulite Jean will be a man of prayer and worship, leading by example, showing the congregation how to walk closely with the Father (Matt. 4:10; Mark 1:35; 1 Thess. 5:17).

19. Pray that Paulite Jean will manage his time wisely and seek God’s perspective for his schedule, guarding his time against unnecessary interruptions (Ps. 90:12; John 9:4; Eph. 5:15-16).

20. Pray for a fresh, divine anointing on Haitian Ministries and Paulite Jean. Pray that God’s working will be powerfully evident, both in his personal life and in the congregation (Rom. 15:18-19a; 1 Cor. 9:27; 2 Tim. 1:7).

21. Pray that Paulite Jean will not give in to discouragement but will deal with inevitable criticism and conflict by committing himself into the hands of God, who judges righteously (1 Pet. 2:23).

22. Pray that all the pastors supported by Haitian Ministries will practice servant leadership, edifying the congregation with wisdom and serving with agape love (John 13:5-9; Eph. 6:7; Phil. 2:3-4).

23. Pray for unity within the church staff and leadership. Pray that the enemy will not be allowed to create divisions, strife, or misunderstanding among the church leaders (Rom. 14:19; 1 Cor. 12:25).

24. Pray that God will give Paulite Jean a clear, biblical vision of what the church can and should be for His glory, and that he will communicate that vision clearly and confidently (Prov. 29:18; John 15:16; 17:17).

25. Pray that all the pastors will seek God for personal, church, and community revival (2 Chron. 7:14; Ps. 69:32).

26. Pray that Paulite Jean will think biblically and that he will have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16; Eph. 4:17; Col. 2:6-8).

27. Pray that Paulite Jean will earnestly seek God’s will and be committed to instant and complete obedience (Luke 9:23-24; 2 Cor. 10:3-5).

28. Pray that Paulite Jean will strive for personal excellence and will believe God for all He wants to do in the congregation (Col. 3:23-24; 2 Pet. 1:3).

29. Pray that Paulite Jean will continue to be a man of faith and maintain a passionate love for God, not giving in to worries, fears, or an uptight or anxious spirit (Prov. 3:5-6; 1 John 4:18).

30. Ask God to provide for the financial needs of the pastors and their families. Pray that they will be a wise steward of personal finances and church funds (Ps. 37:25; Phil. 4:19; Heb. 13:5).
